This dwarf variety has a pleasing, compact mounded habit; interesting foliage is banded in yellow; reddish, fan-shaped plumes mature to a creamy tan color in winter; excellent for small garden spaces. Little Zebra Dwarf Maiden Grass features bold plumes of red flowers rising above the foliage in late summer. Its attractive grassy leaves are bluish-green in colour with showy yellow variegation. The foliage often turns yellow in fall. The silver seed heads are carried on showy plumes displayed in abundance from early fall to late winter.
